Defining a digitalization roadmap for the production unit of clinical trials
THE MISSION of Asdaex
The digitalization path of pharma production units is not fully aligned with the needs of a clinical trials unit, which requires a much higher degree of flexibility while speed of preparation and production remains crucial. The purpose of the project was to adapt the overall digitalization roadmap to the specificities of the production for clinical trials.
BENCHMARKING
Benchmarking of digitalization initiatives at other Pharma companies and comparison with other clinical trials units in other companies.
DESIGN
In order to define a pragmatic and useful digitalization roadmap, a set of workshops were run with representatives of the different teams involved. These workshops allowed the assessment of external and internal digitalization initiatives in the context of clinical trials and to understand the current pain points which could be partly or totally solved thanks to a digitalization initiative.
SPECIFICATIONS
Once identified, these coherent initiatives were structured in a coherent approach, positioned in a ISA 95 framework and structured around intrinsic value for the business, complexity of development, time to market and interdependencies.
