Traceability System
THE MISSION of Asdaex
Implement the monitoring and management of the traceability of a new production line of capacitors, from raw materials to packing through semi-finished products.
DESIGN
Analysis of the need in order to define the best tool to meet it. The objective was to provide an open market solution allowing for long-term evolution, integrating new IT standards (virtual infrastructures, distributed applications). It was also necessary to take into account the cost constraints in view of the number of client stations required. Following this study, we proposed a Siemens WinCC Professional and Microsoft SQL server client solution.
SPECIFICATIONS
Asdaex implemented a collaborative work methodology to define user requirements through workshops and mockups. As a result, Asdaex produced a complete specification documentation. We also coordinated with the different machine suppliers on the line to define the exchange tables with the traceability system.
DEVELOPMENT
The entire specific database was developed in accordance with the traceability and tracking requirements, as was the operator interface. All barcode scanners as well as all standard and Zebra printers were implemented and configured. In addition, datamatrix/bar code printing was managed and configured via Zebra and Hitachi printers. All communications to the various equipment were made functional.
QUALIFICATIONS
The project was implemented at the Hitachi site in connection with the start-up of both parts of the line. The entire system was tested and qualified, and an after-sales support service was set up.
